Horowhenua Activities

Just 30 mins north of us lies Horowhenua - another fun destination you can enjoy from the Kapiti Coast.  Plenty of space with parks, nature reserves, beaches and rivers, the region has much to offer travellers.

Home to Owlcatraz...awarded Top Visitor Attraction...be guided through a purpose built area with no glass or cages separating you from these magnificent creatures of the NZ bush.

Nearby Shannon with its cafes and specialty shops makes a great stop. 

On the way...the Kapiti township of Otaki is a must stop...well known for Outlet shopping.  Head along to the Bendon Store, the Annah S Outlet Store, Kathmandu or McAndrews' Menswear....plus many more.
