Southwards Car Museum

Southwards Car Museum is located just a 5 minute drive south of Kapiti Gateway Motel.

Southwards houses the largest collection of vintage vehicles in the Southern Hemisphere with over 350 vehicles including motorcycles, bicycles, a fire engine and even aircraft.

For a reasonable entry fee you could spend an entire day at Southwards Car Museum. You don't have to be a car enthusiast to love Southwards Museum! The Museum also has a cafe and restaurant on the first floor, a merchandise shop, and a delightful bush walk around a small lake in the grounds.

Southwards is open from 9am to 4:30pm every day except Christmas Day and Good Friday.
