Welcome to Kapiti Gateway Motel.  We look forward to sharing the Kapiti Coast with you…our beautiful spot nestled between the mountains and the sea.  We love living in Kapiti with its stunning scenery, great beaches, vibrant café culture…but mostly its the people and being so close to nature we love.

We have lived in Kapiti and owned Kapiti Gateway Motel since 2001.  Our aim (and that of our fantastic staff) is to offer you great service, smiles, clean and comfort accommodation…and to help you have a memorable stay on the Kapiti Coast. Through consistent refurbishment the motel barely resembles the property that we first came to...our renovations past, present and on-going are made with your comfort and needs in mind.

We are personally committed to caring for our environment and we understand our business practices have a direct impact on the environment. We take seriously our obligation to protect and conserve New Zealand's natural resources so that it remains a great place for future generations.  In 2009 Kapiti Gateway Motel was awarded a Qualmark Enviro Bronze award which recognises the high standards of environmental practices within our business. To earn this Enviro award we had to show effectiveness in energy efficiency, waste management, water conservation and show our involvement in community conservation initiatives. We are proud that Kapiti Gateway Motel is the only motel on the Kapiti Coast to achieve this Qualmark Enviro Bronze standard.
